Monthly Maintenance

Okay. We know nobody buys a pool excited about all the regular upkeep necessary to keep it in good working order. In fact, this tends to be the eventual downfall of most DIY pool owners. The weekly grind of maintaining chemical balance, pH levels, regular pool shocking, daily chlorine checks, and of course, vacuuming.

That’s why we know you’ll love our service. All of the enjoyment and none of the headaches. Our pool maintenance crew in Boca Raton is at your service! Our expert technicians understand pools like you understand how to tie a shoe; it’s second nature to us. Allow our pool service team to take the guesswork out of a perfect pool, and give you the peace of mind that comes with pristine waters whenever you want to use it. Much better to come home after a long day and use your pool, not think about all the different steps you need to stay on top of. We can service your pool as often as you’d like. Our recommended service interval is once a week for residential and at least twice a week for commercial pools.

How to Keep Up a Pool Weekly:

So, the most important factor in maintaining a clean and pristine pool is the circulation of water. That pump should run as often as possible. 24 hrs a day is ideal, however, not all equipment and electric bills are ready to handle this constant load. At the very minimum, you want the filter to run a good 10-12 hours a day.

You’ll want to skim the surface of the water, vacuum the floor and walls of the pool, and empty the strainer basket in your filter for maximum efficiency, and to ensure you don’t get bits of debris circulating back into your clean pool.

At least once a month, the pool filter should be backwashed, which means reversing the flow of the pump and opening the ejection port like a fire hydrant to blast out all the dirt and grime inside of the filter.

Last but certainly at least as important as everything else, is maintaining the chemical levels of your pool. In order to keep your water looking clean and inviting, you’ll want to check the chemical levels at least once a week. If you have a regular chlorine pool, it is essential to keep those levels in check with whatever method of chlorine delivery your system uses. For optimal pool maintenance, the pH levels must also be kept within strict levels using your testing kit of choice. The chlorine levels affect the pH levels, and the pH levels affect the consumption rate of chlorine within your system. Additionally, it is recommended that the pool be ‘shocked’ with pool shock regularly. This keeps unseen contaminants from getting out of hand and causing cloudy, or worse, green water to show up in your beautiful pool.

Of course, if you’re in Boca Raton, our pool service crew would be glad to take a load off your shoulders and bear the brunt of this work for you. Let our experts take the guesswork out of pool maintenance, and give you your time back to enjoy rather than sweat over your pool upkeep.
